[PC][late 2000s] Party building fantasy RPG similar to Baldurs Gate

Hi there, I’m looking for a PC game that would have come out late 2000s or early 2010s. It was a classic RPG fantasy game with magic spells, abilities and healing potions etc.

It had a similar style to Baldurs gate or Dragon age - you had a party of PCs with different abilities and ordered them all individually and went through the world. I think you could either switch between a down on the ground view following one PC or a generic overworld camera that you could pan around. The art style was very vibrant and colourful.

I remember the start of the story was you passed through a mountain pathway fighting monsters them came into a village with a forest north of it. You could forage materials from the nearby plants and fight monsters. Later on there was a town in the middle of a dry dead valley surrounded by monsters.

Sorry it’s not much to go on, I played it a very long time ago so have limited memory of the actual story. All help is appreciated :)
