Truth and Love
I maintain the position that truth precedes all things, because it is the portal by which all things come to be real, and this somehow raises red flags with others who feel the need to defend love as prior to truth. The way I see it, truth, because of the fact it produces a reflectivity or a correspondence between two things, is what creates love (reciprocation) between word & definition, thing and symbol, or idea and reality. So I see that truth as instantly producing forms of "love" under these definitions. I see them as closely related but there is an order that is important because without it, people will claim an undefined love is prior and more important than what is true, and then we are back to worshiping another undefined idol that requires faith and we all know about the golden chaos at the end of that rainbow. No thanks Joel Osteen.
As I see it, we can't even use the word love, without first knowing what is true about love, therefore we must know what is true about truth, and then by that see what is true about love, and then assess it's place in the hierarchy of being. It's necessarily downstream from truth, at least in cognizance. But if Zero is love, and One is truth, then I could see the case being that Zero, because it requires nothing to create nothing, self creates out of nothing, which produces the idea of a "marriage" of opposites which equals Zero, and that duality is in essence love and contains a masculine (light/peak) and feminine (dark/valley) aspects even, and it is also what is reflected into the One as the first recognition of the Zero as a unit. So then the Truth as a whole unit, ends up being the reflection of the Zero. It's very Phi and 1 like as well, where to produce Phi, we first need 1 in order to generate a ratio of any kind, but I think 1 is also arbitrary, and may as well be Phi^0, thereby produced by Phi and not the other way around.
So it seems like this is at the threshold where these two ideas actually oscillate back and forth into each other depending on the angle we look at them. Without truth we can't see love, and without love we can't create truth. It's all potentially very confusing but because I keep running into this "love as first principle" for so many spiritual people I feel as if I have to find a better bridge between love and truth that is easier to understand.
I also find that this oscillation between these two, masculine and feminine, truth and love, forms, is absolutely everywhere and they can switch polarities depending on the angle you observe them. For instance, the human body, if it is the vessel which houses the soul, is feminine (womb) to the soul which is masculine (phallus), and contrarily the body is masculine in relation to the womb like universe. Our minds are feminine receptacles (an Eye) of the truth/wisdom of the universe, but also masculine in that we seed the universe with our thoughts, which then gives birth to the effects of those thoughts, if acted upon, in reality.
The more you look for this mirroring effect, you start to see how deep of a hall of mirrors we are truly in. Its in every aspect of our own bodies, down to the atomic level and up to galactic and beyond. And it is because of the fact that this train of thought produces a labyrinth of light in such a way where both things can be true, that I have no really great way to reconcile the Love as first principle vs Truth as first principle categories of minds but I can see how they are both essentially the same.
I will also note, those that say Love is first principle, and not truth, are also those who might say that the mind is just a trickster. Thinking is the enemy to these types, and this is another thing I don't understand how someone can think their way into. I can see why thinking, incorrectly, would lead people to believe that thinking is poison so they just want to turn it off, but thinking correctly appears to give immortality, peace, stability, vision, life and power. I even believe if one is to reach "enlightenment", they don't just stop thinking because they have thought of it all, instead they keep enlightenment as foundational and celebrate it by continuing to add to and glorify it by adorning it with ever greater knowledge and wisdom, which becomes the gift of the unfolding of the present moment, making life worth even living. And those that want to turn thinking off for love, want to escape from all of duality and reality, and existence into some kind of eternal kingdom of love that is not describable apparently.
