jiljab mentioned in the quran
i’ve always wondered, what exactly is the jilbab mentioned in the quran? the quran keeps emphasizing covering certain body parts, especially the chest and private areas.
some people say that the jilbab refers to covering your whole body from neck to toes, and that the hijab (head covering) is mentioned in the hadiths. others say the jilbab is just a head-to-toe coverage. i wanna know it’s true meaning back then cuz their arabic and ours differ.
here’s my main question: if the jilbab is indeed full coverage from head to toes, but i cover my body from neck to toes, would that still be judged harshly? (i’m an ex atheist revert btw)
also, out of curiosity, i’ve heard that there are “levels” of hijab, like covering our scent, our body, our voice, etc. is this true? if so, can anyone explain what these levels are?
