A Request concerning The Other Place at The Shed
This may be a long shot, but thought I would ask here just in case. Content warning for a question below about (fictional) sexual assault.
Is anyone planning to go see The Other Place at The Shed anytime soon? It begins previews this week. If so, would you be willing to report back on the level and intensity of any on-screen sexual violence? The play includes a note that "It includes explicit language, themes of death, and depictions of physical and sexual assault and suicide." Obviously, any Antigone-inspired play will deal with a number of challenging themes, but Sophocles doesn't have explicit sexual violence (as opposed to gender-based violence generally) in his version, so I'm not quite sure what to expect here, and I would like to have a bit more information so I can determine whether it is something I think I can handle. I would be really grateful if anyone here is planning to go and could report back. Thank you!
