DISCLAIMER: there is NO hate in this post, just some kind of discussion. 

**Well, I’m going to explain now why did I mentioned ArmA4.** 

**As far as I know there are like 10 people who work on DayZ. I can be wrong with some numbers but the core is the fact that today most part of Bohemia’s devs are working on other projects. We don’t know what projects are under development and we dunno how developers are distributed among them, but I can make a call that BI moved most of devs to cook ArmA4.**

**There were about 70 ppl who worked on DayZ when it was about to release on 1.0, but after this update (maybe a bit later) most of them were moved to other projects.**

**Then DayZ team faced the shortage of some artists. There are many indirect evidences that prove it. For example, they couldn’t get back the   crossbows (or other complicated guns like Grenade launcher that are difficult in terms of animation) in game for a few years bc DayZ team had no 3D Animator who can make such complicated animations, but when they hired one, we got the medieval update with crossbows!** 

**I mean that this staff shortage can be the reason why most of game updates are minor. Ok they aren’t minor, but I can describe them like that: “bug fixes, adding of small mechanic, small rebalance of …, adding new gun(s), polishing something”.**

**Yeah I know that not every update goes like this, but can I remember some huge things that were added last 5 years?** 

**:Sakhal mechanics, artillery gas strikes and boats with HUMVEE.** 

**I understand that not every update must be global, but the core is that there are really many huge things that can/must be added in DayZ. I’m not going to list them all. You can just check one of many post on this subreddit where people are talking about things that can be added… aircraft, ballistics rework and etc etc etc etc.. But let’s not discuss which things are necessary and which aren’t. The point is that there is a chance that after the release of Arma 4, Bohemia Interactive will transfer some developers to the DayZ team.** 

**I think so because DayZ seems to have brought the company more money than any of their other games in recent years, so they’re probably interested in keeping the game developing and selling well.**

**So I’d like to ask what do you think about this. Will DayZ team receive extra devs to create more content? If not, what might future updates look like?**
