[OS] MyMacCleaner - The open-source alternative to bloated cleaning tools - Free

Hey everyone,

I’ve always been frustrated with the state of Mac maintenance utilities. Most of them are either subscription-based, heavy on system resources, or—frankly—a bit sketchy when it comes to privacy.

I decided to build MyMacCleaner because I wanted a utility that was fast, native, and completely transparent about what it’s doing to your system.

What makes it different?

  • 100% Open Source: No "black box" logic. You can see exactly how the cleaning works and what files are being touched.
  • Built with Swift: It’s a native macOS app. No Electron bloat, low memory footprint, and it follows the Apple design aesthetic.
  • Privacy First: No tracking, no analytics, no "phone home."
  • Free Forever: No "Pro" versions or hidden fees.

Key Features:

  • App Uninstaller: Doesn't just delete the .app; it hunts down the leftover library files, caches, and containers that clutter your drive.
  • RAM Management: Real-time memory monitoring with a "Free Up" feature to flush inactive memory when you're hitting a bottleneck.
  • Port Management: A built-in network utility to see exactly which apps are using which ports, with the ability to kill processes directly.
  • Maintenance Scripts: Run essential macOS system scripts (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) or flush your DNS cache with a single click.
  • System Junk & Large Files: Deep-scans for logs, caches, and those massive files you forgot were sitting in your downloads folder.
  • Startup Manager: Easily toggle which apps are allowed to launch at login to speed up your boot time.

I’m looking for honest feedback! If there’s a feature you feel is missing or a UI tweak that would make it better, please let me know. If you’re a dev, feel free to dive into the code—PRs are more than welcome!

If you find the app useful, please consider leaving a ⭐ on GitHub. It really helps the project gain visibility and lets me know it’s worth continuing to develop!
