20F…..Uni’s are filled with double standards

I sometimes feel like I should escape and go to a place where people don’t judge me, don’t lash out on me, and where I can feel safe and just be myself comfortably. I don’t get this mindset in today’s society that if one doesn’t drink, does not have a boyfriend, does not go for late night parties, prefers calm over chaos, is not deemed suitable to the society especially the younger generation like uni students. All of them talk about inclusivity but where does this inclusivity disappear when students like us join the uni. You say that everyone is free to make their own decisions and when we do its a problem because you don’t prefer us. You tell us to enjoy uni life but don’t let us by doing such things. Its honestly frustrating to see the double standards and how egoistic people have gotten over the generations. The bottom line is it gets lonely as we don’t have any friends or support when we need people around.
