Writing on behalf of someone else
M (45) F (48) well call them Adam and Eve for easier reading
They’re both unhappy in their relationship at the moment. Theyve got 4 kids and 1 grandchild. Girls being 28,14 and 13 and little lad being 9
They’ve got a very busy life with Eve recently being diagnosed with ADHD, Adam has a chronic illness. Girl age 13 having Audhd
They’ve both recently lost their mothers so are grieving.
Adam works full time, is also their sons coach for football which means training once a week and 2 x matches
Adam is miserable not suprising considering chronically ill and extremely busy life
Eve is also miserable, depressed I’d even say.
They are completely different in the sense Eve is extremely extroverted and Adam being introverted.
They’ve have different views on things they’d enjoy doing and now do nothing together and have become resentful of eachother
Life has been difficult as of recently eve had to leave her job to home school daughter (13)
She has now found a suitable school however other than going to school, she will not participate in any activities. So activities as a family are a rarity as boy 9 is tired from football,
Girl 13 gets very anxious and refuses to leave the house
Girl 14 is typical stroppy defiant teenager
So basically they’re considering separation, they don’t enjoy each others company, arguments almost daily which is now having a negative impact on the environment in the house.
I have suggested counselling because there is definitely love still there I think they’ve just lost their rhythm and how to meet each others needs. Obviously with their already busy schedule and the cost that may not be something they can start immediately.
Anyone else experienced something similar and have any good advice or techniques I can recommend to at least try and relieve tension in the meantime or do we think just call it a day?
Any advice, input would be greatly appreciated
..
