Honey, friends are supposed to be someone that always supports you. Those who are genuinely care for you, not those who just stayed because you're convenient.

Let me tell you something.

I used to like having a huge circle oh friends back in highschool but... You see, I think I got use to having someone to hangout with that I didn't even notice myself being disrespected and treated like I'm only "that" friend of them because I'm always convenient.

How did I notice? Thanks for my longtime best friend who asked me why I let them treat me like that. And I was confused and told her why? What's the problem? And then, she told everything, all things that I've missed because I was too focus on pleasing those people who never really cared about me anyway.

Those girls that are honestly prettier than me, the girls that I admire but little did I know their jokes about me being like this or like that was already something that I never expected. They were silently killing my confident and they we're successful, not until today.

That girl who always remarks herself to be my closest friends in the group, but silently mocked me with her gay friend who was her real closest friend. Mocking my achievements as if they never want to see me reaching my goals and winning in life. Wow.

Those boys who once swore to be fair and protect us, but US don't mean all of US. It meant, only those with beautiful faces.

I don't know actually, but yeah, upon trying to think about all of it, I realize my best friend was right all along. I'm getting treated better only when I tutor them for something they don't understand, when I do things they can't because of busy schedule, when they need a walking wallet to treat them for foods. And a comfort to temporarily heal them.

Now, in my college years. I realized, my highschool days are actually darker than I thought. Because at this moment I only see color. Brightness that leads me to understand how important choosing a right friend is. How important knowing your worth is. I got my genuine and good above anyone else a small circle of friends. And I got rid with those pesticide who tried to drain me, but thank you for my best girl who acted as rain, that kept me alive and not draught.

What are friends?
