Why hasn’t Sri Lanka produced another Jayasuriya

I was a huge fan of Sanath Jayasuriya, he had mastered power hitting in conditions that didn’t favour batters, I also feel that he was the most unlikely power hitter, he isn’t tall, wasn’t working out like modern day cricketers, had a wafer thin bat and could clear 90meter boundaries with ease, why couldn’t a batter like him leave an impact on Lankan cricketers? Why hasn’t lanka produced a power hitter like him? Every team has a player that’s a like for like replacement for their legends and somehow the power hitting just disappeared from Lankan cricket?
