No hot water

So i redid most of the plumbing under my house due to a pipe burst in this cold snap. After finally getting water back to my house there is no hot water. Now i gave it hours to warm up and when i hold the relief valve on my water heater the pipe starts getting warm telling me there is hot water in there. Although when I try to open a faucet, no hot water comes out of the outlet pipe on the heater. I get very little cold water or sometimes no water out of that hot side. The cold side could strip the paint off the wall but not the hot. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
