Need a hook

Hey guys, currently deployed and my players want to run D&D every other day. Long story short, they end up on a planet much like in the game "Turok" aka big nasty Dino's with a twist. All mammals contract a virus from the flora on world. These guys are working for the scp foundation to capture a goddesses psyche who def wants to kill them. What do I do?
