parking tips for angelina jordan at westgate las vegas resort & casino (las vegas 01/31)
hey everyone, figured i'd share some tips for anyone heading to see angelina jordan at the westgate on saturday, 01/31, at 7:00 pm. parking around the westgate can honestly be a pain because it's right next to the las vegas convention center, and with the soul of motown show also kicking off at 7:30 pm, the whole area is going to be a mess. you should aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before the show to save yourself a massive headache.
if you're trying to skip the hotel traffic entirely, check out an app called prked. the concept is you can rent out a private driveway or unused garage spot from someone who lives literally right next to the westgate. it's usually way cheaper than the resort and you get to bypass a lot of the traffic looping through the main lot.
for the official options, your best bet is the westgate's north parking garage for covered self-parking. it will run you about $10 or $10.99 for the day. sometimes the first three hours are free, but i wouldn't bank on it for an event night. they use a license plate recognition system called metropolis, so make your life easy and download the sp+ mobile parking app, set up your plate and payment info, and pay on your phone to avoid getting stuck at the exit gate. people getting stuck at the gate trying to pay is a common issue.
valet is an option too, but expect to pay around $20 to $25 and deal with a huge line on the way out when everyone leaves at once.
if the westgate garage is full, or the lines look awful, you have alternatives but they get pricey fast. nearby hotels like the springhill suites garage can be well over $20 or even up to $39 for uncovered spots. even pricier options like the residence inn or courtyard by marriott near the convention center are listing rates as high as $54. a slightly cheaper workaround is to look for the outside lots near convention center drive. these are about a 15-20 minute walk but can be a little kinder on the wallet, around $10.99 to $15.99. just make sure you factor in that walk time.
hope this helps a bit, and enjoy the show!
