Is a Canon Rebel t5 a good purchase?

So I just found a Canon Rebel T5 for 160$. It doesn't have the charger. This would be my first camara so I want to make sure it's a good purchase. Im using mainly as a hobby. Is there anything I should check before buying it? Thanks in advance!!
