I’m trying to get into the Central PA music scene. Any tips?

We’re a 4-piece rock band that got together for Cumberland Valley High School’s talent show. We won and want to keep going, but we don’t know where to start. My initial thought is to do a ton of open mics, but not many want our kind of sound (hard rock, grunge, alt). Any tips?
