So I know the first thing a lot of you are asking is why there is a Fanvue screenshot & I promise I will explain 😅 just give me a bit.

TLDR; Got a viral article on LinkedIn on cars. Met a GM who invited me to a group chat with other GMs to share my work. Used the chance to start being a middleman/broker. I may or may not use Fanvue to pay less in taxes. 🫣

My journey started a few years ago when I used to post articles on cars on LinkedIn. I did it purely to help me get over my fear of being criticized, and to improve my writing & LinkedIn is one of the best places for such.

In doing so one of my articles were published in LinkedIn news where I think it was seen by 11k people. It was a nerve racking experience at the time, but through it I was able to meet a GM who loved my work.

I started writing for him ( for free ofc ) & eventually he added me to a group chat of other GMs some of whom have some insane offerings.

Decided to try being a middleman in my home country, I would approach people shopping around in dealerships, strike up a conversation, then lead with the fact that I could offer them a connection with some GMs who could help them get some exclusive cars.

Most thought it was bullshit ( obviously) but the few who didnt, I introduced to a couple of the GMs for a small fee.

At first it was nerve wracking, just having to throw myself out there like that, but as I did it more & more it became second nature.

There was even a point where I had a referral, my home country's population is relatively small like sub 2 million, so I'd say reputation goes a long here. But just being able to get a referral really reminded me just how much I threw myself out there.

Now I operate based solely on referrals & I charge significantly more too. There isn't much I do in my day to day now. Someone comes to me, I charge them a few, then introduce them to a GM of their choice. I'm not sure how much of them were actually able to by cars, but I think a lot are just happy being able to build that connection & relationship.

Doing this I realized that you often have to get very uncomfortable if you want to get comfortable.

Now the elephant in the room, I tried the AI model craze like everyone else back when gen ai was terrible. I even had it registered as a business in my country but it just never really worked out. Once I started making money doing this I ended up using the business so I'd on pay 15% in taxes as opposed to 35%.

I def won't get into the semantics for this, but I do plan to register this as it's on business this year. Business registration is like 8k here too so it's a bit pricey.

Thats my story, if anyone is interested in being a middleman/broker I have no issues connecting you with the GMs. Maybe it might work for some of you maybe it won't.

Figured I'd share my story cause I'm sure a lot of y'all are tired of just seeing AI/Drop shipping/Affiliate Marketing over & over.

Peace Yall.
