Age of Ashes Changing from Kintaro to Tian Xia

I am currently running Age of Ashes for a group of players and nearing the end of Hellknight Hill, however I have a player directly connected to the Mwangi and book 2 of the adventure and a dwarf cleric directly tied to book 4 and the five kings mountains. However two of my players are from Tian Xia and no one has ties to anything in the setting of Tomorrow Must Burn. I know that it would be a lot of work but would it be reasonable to change one of the aiudara to Tian Xia instead of Kintaro so that the story directly ties to my other two players. Or is the story just too integral to the overall plot of the story. I know this probably sounds like a manic post but any help would be appreciated.
