5 year old and 10 month old in same room? How’d it go for you?

Just looking for others experience as this is new territory for us

My 5 year old has always slept in the same room as us. Just logistically, we had to room share for a long while. He was in his crib and then his toddler bed, always in our room. Over the past two years or so he’s come up into our bed a lot due to being scared … and honestly I usually just give in because than arguing at 3am lol

Now we have a 2nd little one. He sleeps in his crib in a room by himself.

We’re moving to a new house and want to put them in their own room together.

How do I navigate this with a kid who’s afraid of the dark and a baby who sleeps in the dark?

If anyone has had this experience with similar ages I’d love to hear what worked for you, and if there are any challenges we should anticipate. Thanks!
