Washed my Vibe Bud 2s, now the case won't work

Alright, I accidentally washed my earbuds last night. Case and all 🫠. The earbuds work perfectly fine but they don't register being inside the case (won't charge or 'turn off' when placed inside, just keeps playing music)

I just got these and have only really used em twice. Want to know if it's saveable and if there's anything I can try. It's all sitting in rice at the moment as that's the first thing I thought of to fix it. I'd seriously appreciate assistance, they're not my main headphones I only use them for work but still they were a serious upgrade from my last (also water damaged 🤦🏻‍♂️) pair.
