Why would a women leave multiple pairs of panties in a locker at work?

I work Saturdays and there is hardly anyone here, so I use the ladies room when nature calls because the men’s is always nasty AF. On day months ago I got curious and was looking in the lockers that had no lock. And in one was a few pairs of panties that had been worn but not changed due to accident. I found it odd, and left it be. I would occasionally check in on the panty locker to see if they had been removed (never were). Today when I checked, there was another pair in there with the others. Again none are soiled like the person had an accident or anything like that, but they are musty so they’ve been worn. I’m just confused as to why.
