Needing some AC advice

I have an old in wall style AC unit similar to this in my room.

It works great, but on night like this, I find it’s way too loud to have going at night as I can’t sleep. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a thermostat option either so it’s either beautiful cold air and jet engine or sauna due to shitty insulation in my room.

Does anyone know of a good, silent version of this AC style? Something they have used in Perth and knows it can stand up to our heat.

The room it’s in is about 3x5 meters too

This looks good to solve my issue, but I want to hear from people who have solved this issue before I go out and buy something that isn’t much better than my current situation
