Jesus said few find life; He said one must enter by the narrow gate to find life, and that the wide gate leads to destruction.

Everyone has two choices in front of them: The narrow gate and the wide gate. The wide gate is the common, default gate - it’s the bandwagon gate where everyone calls out “this is the fun gate, come on let’s go!” The narrow gate is the one that’s despised and rejected by the world, the one you’ll be mocked for going through and called every name in the book for entering; this is the way that Jesus says leads to life, the only way.

What then is the narrow gate? It’s Jesus Himself. Jesus said He’s the door of the sheep, and that He’s the way, the truth and the life, the only way to the Father. Jesus is the stone rejected by the builders, the only One that whoever puts their trust in will not be put to shame, and who commands all to repent for remission of sins.

*Matthew 7:13-14

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. [14] Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.*

*John 10:7-9

Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. [8] All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. [9] I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.*

*John 14:1-6

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. [2] In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. [4] And where I go you know, and the way you know." [5] Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" [6] Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.*

*1 Peter 2:6-8

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, "Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame." [7] Therefore, to you [Christians] who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone," [8] and "A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense." They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.*

*Matthew 4:17

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."*
