Question: How Possible to Corroborate?

Court document or investigative file

I would love to hear from anyone with a legal background about this:

So it’s been heavily stated that many of the newly released documents were not corroborated — which means that mainstream pubs like NYT cannot report about them.

My question is… will these testimonies ever be corroborated? It seems to me that many of them won’t even be able to be corroborated, because the billionaire predators kept their alleged* assaults secretive, likely nobody could be witnesses!

Would it be possible that an alleged* victim could contact the media, like NYT, and tell them that they were told about the alleged* abuse, as corroboration? I mean, for example, say someone had called the FBI tip line and told them a story that the FBI didn’t/hasn‘t fully investigated. Could a friend of that person who called the tip line contact the NYT and tell them that they were told the story of the assault IRL after it happened, and would that be enough to corroborate it?

* I am using alleged to discuss the un-corroborated accusations from the files because I don’t want to get sued.
