First hcg beta results - cautiously optimistic
Just got my second result in, and it went from 307 to 802 (!!!!). So incredibly relieved as I was hoping for it to be at least at 600+. Seeing that number makes me feel a little bit more optimistic, although I’m staying cautious until our first scan coming up next week at 5w4d. I’ve had a really really really devastatingly rough go at this journey to conceive a healthy child the last 1.5 years.
Started with a chemical on our first ever cycle trying, had no idea what was happening to my body and the doctors at the ER wouldn’t rule it a miscarriage but labeled it a “threatened miscarriage”, it wasn’t until I did my betas the following week where my PCP told me Yea it is a miscarriage but it was a chemical pregnancy. Then the next cycle after that we conceived again…that pregnancy resulted in a 24 week loss of our son. That is and was the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I wouldn’t wish child loss on anyone in this world. Then we took some time off, and after we started trying again, conceived again very quickly but that resulted in an ectopic pregnancy- lost it at 5w5d. Gut punch when they said we couldn’t try again for 3 months because of the methotrexate medicine to pass the pregnancy. And then after that, we tried for 2 months…got pregnant again! Another chemical. That was in October. Now…we’re here today with this one and yeah, idk which way it’ll go but from my experience I’m really not very confident so yeah, cautiously optimistic after receiving these beta results.
