Urgent advice needed: Monthly car travel/driver Liverpool ↔ Bangor (Wales)

General Question

Hi everyone,

I hope this post is okay here. I want to be clear upfront that this is about Bangor, Wales, but I’m posting in r/Liverpool because Liverpool is my home base and where I feel safe.

I recently got a job in Bangor, so my partner and I moved there temporarily. However, I am still under contract for my apartment in Liverpool and intend to return here as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, within the first day of arriving in Bangor, I experienced severe racism, and today I was sexually assaulted in public in daylight while walking to a nearby shop. There were no people around, no CCTV, and no visible police presence. I was left completely shaken and unsafe.

I am now alone in Bangor (my partner has returned to Liverpool for work and to manage our home), and I have made the firm decision that I cannot stay in Bangor any longer for my own safety and mental health. I plan to live in Liverpool and commute for the next 1–1.5 months, after which my role becomes hybrid.

Important note about transport:

I have looked into trains, but unfortunately train travel takes a very long time and still requires an additional bus journey at the Bangor end, which makes it impractical and unsafe for me.

I am specifically looking for car-based travel only.

What I’m looking for:

•	A reliable private driver / car service

•	Or a shared commute / carpool

•	Ideally something regular or monthly

•	Liverpool ↔ Bangor (or nearby drop-off points) ( 1 hr 37 mins up and 1 hr 37 mins down )

I understand this won’t be cheap, and I’m prepared to pay for safety and reliability. I’ve searched online, but everything I find is short-term or daily taxi bookings, which isn’t sustainable.

If anyone has contacts, recommendations, or has done something similar, I would be extremely grateful. Please feel free to comment or DM me.

Thank you so much for reading and for any help.
