parking tips for costa - memoire at encore boston harbor (everett ma 01/31)

figured i'd share some parking tips for anyone heading to see costa at memoire this friday, 01/31. the encore boston harbor is honestly a pretty easy spot compared to most boston venues, but it's still a huge friday night event, and getting into the resort property can be a traffic mess, and exiting is always a zoo.

i always check the prked app first for events here. it's where people who live right next to the encore rent out their driveways or garages for the night. it sounds weird, but it's legit and lets you park on a side street and walk 5-10 minutes, completely skipping the line of cars trying to get into the casino proper. while the casino parking is technically free, you end up sitting in traffic forever, so prked is a great option for a super short walk and zero traffic headache. sometimes it's also way cheaper than other lots in the area if there were any.

now, for the official options, which are actually great: the self-parking garage at encore boston harbor is complimentary (free) for all guests daily. it’s a convenient, indoor garage with direct access to the resort, which is awesome, especially in the winter. you can also use the valet service, which is also complimentary for all guests, subject to availability, so remember to tip!. just pull up to the porte cochère at the main entrance.

if the on-site garage feels full or the line is just totally backed up, encore also offers off-site parking at the community parking lot. this lot is free, has about 700 spaces, and is located at 31 mystic street, everett, ma, which is directly across the street from the resort. this is a good plan b if the main garage is slow or at capacity.

timing is key on a friday night. the event is at 10:00 pm, and the casino is already busy before the nightclub rush, so honestly, plan to get there at least 45 minutes to an hour before you want to be inside, just to deal with the general encore traffic and getting through security and lines for the club.

a huge warning for everyone: there is absolutely no on-street parking in the city of everett near the resort. you need a residential parking sticker to park on everett streets, so don't even try, you will get towed or ticketed. also, while the parking is listed as free, always be aware that prices may be higher during special events, though the general policy is free self-parking. keep your eyes open for any new signs.

hope this helps everyone get to memoire easily and have a great time seeing costa.
