Finally overcomed my depressive phase and happy now
I too had been depressed recently for at least a year And it was a very worse phase. Staying in the room all day, using games and webseries to escape and the rest of the time just sleeping and not brushing & bathing for days and missing college classes for many months- basically living like a hikikomori. And it went worse when i started to get passive thoughts to not exist which turned active slowly and i even attempted to off myself during september which i failed to do so. I was very lazy, had existential crisis & lacked ambition and i had a strong hold of this thought in my mind that i don't want to do any jobs & wanted life to run according to a certain way of mine which ultimately wouldn't be so these things were making me more depressed. It was the end of September when i ultimately acted upon that thought and failed in that. Although i failed but after failing in that attempt i felt a kind of freedom/relief and guilt both. Guilt that i didn't succeed and now i have to live this horrible life And freedom/relief because i was continuously getting these thoughts from some days every few seconds which vanished and the method which i thought could off myself failed so these thoughts stopped Still i was less depressed and however was managing to attend classes-due to very low attendance & since my parents scolded and compelled me to go to college everyday. Things got little better as i was finally going outside my room to attend classes although those thoughts would re- appear after 3-4 days and i was still wanting to off myself in future, thinking & searching different methods and reading negative posts in reddit..... By December i was better than earlier and those thoughts would even appear less as i had this thought that at least i can end it when i wish to and no parents should get to experience such kind of tragedy. And then the Holidays began in December, i visited my family, i felt really good and that change of place and environment was really needed......."OSHO" really helped me heal myself As he teaches oneself to remain detached to the changing identities of mind & how to give no reaction to thoughts which appears randomly and remain unaffected. And on happiness also he says good things like - mind never remains fulfilled and when our one desire gets fulfilled then this minds starts to move to fulfill other desire hence there is a restless to fulfill desire and emptiness after fulfilling it. So he teaches to enjoy every work that we do and accept the emptiness (void) rather than running away from it by meditating and experiencing and accepting emptiness. And he even gave me clarity on meaningless like saying that life actually don't have any purpose and if there was a predetermined purpose then we would be acting like robots and there would be no enjoyment no variety in life and on job and money topics also he gave lot of clarity like your need is very less, this society and parents gives everyone inferiority complex and tell them to become richest and earn lot otherwise their life is waste -they sre worthless-Which Is RUBBISH & osho tells to go behind money only how much u need, we fall into ego trap and respect and status trap and make our life miserable and become a slave ... And even on sadness he told good things like face sadness, people run from sadness and escape it by sleeping or some escapism hence they never grow but every sadness tells you about something which you have to make a change and hence those sadness are an opportunity to grow just like a rod is heated and made strong.......... I opened reddit after many weeks and when i saw some sad posts in my feed then i thought to share my experience so that it helps anyone suffering from these phases and my dms are open too if anyone wants to ask/talk anything
