Got a dead animal in a wall and an inspection in 2 days

I'll definitely have to cut out a hole to get it out before it becomes a problem but I'm worried about being blamed for the damage since we are renting. I've got a house inspection in 2 days so the agent will see it then. I assume the photos should clear things up, and most likely the agent is reasonable; since our agent recently changed however we've never met the agent before and I'm just wondering if there are any extra steps I should take to cover my ass. Any tips to fix a hole in the hole quickly would be more than welcome.
