AITAH for wanting to confront someone about not being invited to a “wag” sleepover?

I know this might be petty, I’m fully prepared to be called crazy.

I (27f) have a boyfriend, “Ben”. Ben is part of a friend group of 5 guys. When Ben and I start dating, he introduced me to his friends at a group hangout, where everyone had their partners there. It turns out their girlfriends had also become friends, so it was like one friend group with a gender divide. The group is really nice, but I didn’t click with the other women really. I’m not the most confident person, and I guess I didn’t make the best first impression, but I won’t lie I felt like the judged me a bit harshly as well. They’re nice when I see them, but I’m not included in the social media photos, or the inside jokes. And I get it, you don’t fit in everywhere, I have my own friends. So I just accepted it and kept it friendly.

I really thought I was over it, but near the end of last year, Ben’s friend “Nora” moved to our area. To get her introduced to people, Ben invited her out with his friends (I was also there that time). The women latched onto Nora immediately, and it was like I got a front row seat to how friendly and welcoming they can be when they actually like you. Brutal honesty, it really really hurt. It sucks seeing Ben’s best friend’s girlfriend posting “thank you Ben for introducing me to this gem” on Instagram stories. And I know social media isn’t everything, logically I know that. I know I’m a bit pathetic caring, but it hurt my feelings, I’m human.

So fast forward, the guys are doing a marathon gaming session thing altogether in a couple of weeks. It’s going to involve being up and at their computers for 24 hours. They’re all doing it in their respective homes so I never thought anything of it. Except a few nights ago at drinks with one of the friends, his partner mentioned that he would have to get up to get his own food because she was going to be at the “wags sleepover”. She was so embarrassed to have mentioned it but seeing how upset I was she was honest and said one of the other girls “Lauren” was having them over for a sleepover the same night since all the guys were busy. I asked if Nora was invited and she admitted yes.

I am hurt by this. Especially because they’ve clearly named it a “wives and girlfriends sleepover”. Who is Nora’s boyfriend? She’s not going to be on her own for 24 hours, it’s not like she needs company. And I know these women aren’t my friends but I see them a lot. I probably wouldn’t have even gone but the fact that they didn’t even extend the invitation? It just feels like they dislike me so much they didn’t even want to risk it. It’s not like they’ve been friends for a decade. One of the girls is newer to the group than me, and Nora’s not even dating anyone in the group.

I feel like I should message Lauren and open a conversation about how things have gone down. I’m not saying she has to invite me, but I’d like the opportunity to at least talk about how it feels to not be considered, especially because of how she’s themed the party. Ben is massively against me saying anything, he says it’s childish to cause friction over a party invite. He said no one has any issue with me being his plus one at hangouts or has ever said anything unkind but that will probably change if I act like a 5 year old over not getting invited to a party with people who aren’t even my friends. I see his point, but I also think at this point what do I have to lose? I think if Lauren wants to be like that the least she can do is tell me personally why she doesn’t want me there.
