Anime Illustrator for 2D Fighting Game Storefront Assets ($250+)

Hiring 2D: Anime Style

Hey everyone — I’m currently in pre-production for an independent 2D pixelated fighting game and I’m looking for an illustrator to create our primary Steam Capsule art.

The game is heavily inspired by classic fighters like King of Fighters. It features a global cast of characters competing for a "prize of a lifetime"—though as players progress, they'll find there's more going on behind the scenes than just a tournament.

Tone & Style I am looking for a vibrant, high-energy Anime style that captures that classic fighting game spirit.

  • Character-Driven: The art needs to showcase the intensity of the fighters.
  • Branding: You will need to integrate the game’s logo into the composition.
  • Mood: Vibrant and polished, leaning into the "tournament" aesthetic with a hint of the darker underlying mystery.
  • Reference: I have specific reference images for the character designs and overall mood to share with the right artist.

Deliverables & Usage The primary goal is a high-resolution "Master Illustration" that can be formatted for all standard Steam Storefront needs:

  • Header, Main, Small, and Vertical Capsules.
  • The final work will be the primary key art for the game’s Steam page and marketing materials.

Budget & Timeline

  • Budget: $250.00 USD minimum, with flexibility based on your portfolio and the complexity of the final composition.
  • Medium: Digital.
  • Timeline: No immediate deadline; I am prioritizing a high-quality "look" over speed.
  • Location: Remote/Worldwide.

How to Apply If you have experience with gaming assets or a strong Anime portfolio, please comment below or reach out via DM with:

  • A link to your portfolio or ArtStation.
  • Your general availability and estimated rates for a full capsule suite.
  • Any previous work you've done for game storefronts or character posters.

Thanks for your time, I'm excited to see your work!
