31M | Advertising Sales (TV) from India – Is moving to Dubai worth it? Need advice

Looking for some honest advice from people working in Dubai, especially in media / advertising / sales. I am open to moving mediums - tv, digital, radio, print

Profile: Male, 31 Currently based in India 8+ years of experience in Advertising Sales for TV channels Worked with big networks: Zee, Disney Star, Viacom Current CTC: INR 22 LPA fixed + ~8 LPA incentives

The TV industry in India is in turmoil right now — hiring is almost frozen, my current company is financially weak, and I’m feeling quite insecure about job stability.

I have an option to take a 2-month break without quitting my job, and I’m considering coming to Dubai to explore opportunities during this period.

My questions: How should I realistically get started with job hunting in Dubai?

Recruiters, LinkedIn, walk-ins, references, agencies?

With my experience, what kind of salary range should I expect in media/ad sales?

How easy or difficult is it to break into sales roles as an expat without UAE experience?

How is job sustainability in sales in Dubai? Hire-and-fire culture?

Targets vs job security?

Does it make sense to job hunt on a visit visa for 1–2 months?

Personal context: Married, with a 1-year-old child Wife has a stable job in India, so the move (at least initially) would be just me

Main concern is whether the risk + cost of moving is worth it compared to staying put in India for now

Would really appreciate insights from: People working in media / advertising / sales Indians who’ve made (or decided against) the move Anyone who has done on-ground job hunting in Dubai
