Firefighter after fire alarm and what to do after
Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I was cooking and it happened that the fire alarm started running because of the smoke (no fire) so my building administrator called the firefighters before I was downstairs to tell her that everything was ok. Anyway the firefighters came and check on the situation, and left. Then one of my neighbours told me that I will receive a bill for this and it was around 1000fr. What can I do in this case? I really don't have 1000fr since I'm a student and part of the incident was due because there's an air current from the living room passing trough the kitchen until the entrance (where the smoke detector is), and even when I told that to the administrator she asked me if there was not a door between the kitchen and the corridor to the entrance and I told her no and she looked a bit surprised. Is it something that I should write to the immobilien? Because after all this, another neighbour approached and told me that he had the same problem years ago since he lives right underneath, so he also doesn't have a door between the kitchen and the corridor that leads to the smoke detector and he went to this association that worked as a mediator to see if I can pay less or not pay, do you guys know anything about this? Thank you, I'm panicking a bit...
