LD guy says he likes me but wants to meet first—how do I schedule calls and keep things balanced?

’m 22/F and I’ve been talking to a guy, 23/M, for about 3 months. We live in different countries and have different cultural backgrounds. He’s a content creator.

He admitted he likes me, but he also said that meeting in person is necessary before pursuing a relationship. We still text normally. I keep the conversation natural I’m thinking about asking if we could arrange calls before our shifts.

I feel a little unsure about him. Sometimes I wonder if he might be manipulative—he sends me pictures and me too , and I used to support him before we started talking, and even after I stopped, we continued talking.

How do I keep things balanced, continue communication, and figure out if he’s genuinely interested or not and now he being busy moving to another city but still talks to me even we had calls one of them he asked to video call but i told it overwhelms me he said ok and i told when i feel ready we will have and hd was agreeing and even when we talk i felt that I can’t speak normally and i want to ask to have scheduled calls ?

TL;DR:

I’m 22F in a long-distance situation with a 23M I’ve been talking to for 3 months. He admitted he likes me but wants to meet in person before pursuing a relationship. We text normally, but I sometimes feel unsure and overwhelmed, especially with video calls. He’s busy moving to another city but still keeps in touch. I want to schedule regular calls to get to know each other better without seeming needy and figure out if he’s genuinely interested.
