Help: NIOH 1, difficutly jump into DLC

I just beat the main game being level 102. I started the DLC but the recommended level is 150. Being level 102 i feel WAY to weak, Masamune hyper oneshots me and the game feels mostly unplayable with the steep jump in difficulty. Is there a fast way to get better gear and levels, or is grinding required?
