CD Architect - I hate to do this...
It's generally not my thing to write a post bashing a company, but Magix had sent me to my limit.
I bought a copy of CD Architect when the product was still developed and owned by Sony. From time to time I've other things going on in life, so my use of the software was sporadic. Over the past two years, I've gotten back into production and early last year I tried to use the software, and it was sending me out to the Sony registration page, and it wouldn't register. I contacted Magix with my info, and they fixed the issue, but it cropped back up around November of last year. I've made numerous entries to Magix support, including asking whether they're still supporting the software. I have yet to receive any assistance, or even an answer from them.
I don't think I have to explain the frustration that comes from having paid for a product and gotten a license to use it, and it's not assessable. Add to that being ignored by the company that is supposed to still supporting it, and it's easy to get a bit angry. I know a bit about software development, and one of the lowest things that can be done is to leave a customer high and dry after they've made a purchase. It's unconscionable. And if you take over the product, you take on the responsibility of making it usable for the owner.
If Magix no longer supports the product, what's their response to those who are still trying to use what they paid for?
I'm still hoping to get some help, and if any of you folks can help, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.
