I don't really understand the leveling system...

Hey everyone!

I started playing with Lemix and had a blast! I leveled up and reached max item level, and I felt so powerful!

So I switched to Retail to continue the experience, and the game immediately threw me into Battle for Azeroth, which is really cool, but I thought new players usually started with Dragonflight. I'm level 63, but I still have a question that's been bothering me: everywhere I see that the max item level is around 120, while on Lemix it was 779, and when my character was switched to retail I got a level 120 set, but is that the max item level?

I admit I get a little lost in WoW sometimes. I've always been a Dofus player, so leveling and quests were pretty linear for me. But now we're in a huge open world, so understanding how the world works, its quests, and its expansions isn't easy!
