Where can I see lots of ice in the city?

I live in Arizona and will be visiting next weekend staying with a friend in a suburb but going into the city at least one full day. I really like seeing that "winter wonderland" aesthetic that I don't get to see at home (I ask my friend for pictures when it's snowing lol). We are going to be at least at Union Station, McCormick Place, and public transit in between.

I know the forecast is showing it might thaw so where do you think I'll be able to see ice and/or snow next week? Does the lake or river stay icy for a while?
