I don't think I can start without buying a good camera.
I know the best advice starting out is to use your phone, and I would normally agree but I don't feel like I can for two reasons:
I am very easily distracted by my phone. I want to minimize my connection to it by having dedicated tools for the stuff I want to do. Sure a phone can be a camera but it's also a way to be entertained, communicate, it's your bank terminal, etc. I'm just afraid that I won't be able to be as focused as I want to be when using it.
Second, I don't spend a lot on my phones. I like to own them outright. This means I usually don't have the best of cameras with them. Right now I am using an older moto g power. It doesn't have a great camera, very grainy when taking video and no stabilization for moving shots.
What should I get starting out? I've been considering a Sony ZV-E10 but that is a pretty pricey for me. I think I'd be willing to especially since it would last a long time but I am open to other more budget options too. I want something that I can use for a good 5-10 years at the very least, and be able to build out over time as I need too without having to replace a bunch of stuff.
What type of content? I want to get into making stuff and showing the process. I already make stuff with a 3D printer but I do want to expand, maybe make actual products, use the channel as a way to both learn and to teach. I have a lot of ideas I want to see through and no good way to hold myself accountable to do them. I think having a small following would help with that.
