9 weeks pregnant – nausea improving & more hunger… should I be worried? Looking for others’ experiences

Advice

Hi everyone. I’m 9 weeks pregnant today (first time pregnant ) and I’m starting to feel a little anxious about some symptom changes, so I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar.

Over the last few days, my nausea and food aversions have noticeably eased up. They’re not completely gone, but definitely not as intense as before. At the same time, I’m feeling much hungrier. From what I’ve read, this can be normal — but of course my brain is spiraling a bit.

I do still have other symptoms:

  • Fatigue (still needing naps)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Breast tenderness/heaviness, mostly at night and right when I wake up
  • Headaches No cramping and no new bleeding or spotting.

For some background: earlier on I went to the ER due to light brown spotting and mild on-and-off cramping. They did blood work, a pelvic ultrasound, and a transvaginal ultrasound. The fetus measured 5w6d at the time. The doctor said I had a small subchorionic hematoma (SCH) and very bluntly told me to “expect to miscarry,” which honestly really shook me. Since then, the spotting has stopped.

I guess I’m just wondering:

  • Has anyone had nausea ease up around 9 weeks and everything turned out fine?
  • Did anyone with an SCH still have a healthy pregnancy?
  • Am I overthinking these symptom changes, or is this something I should be very concerned about?

I know symptoms can fluctuate, but after that ER visit it’s hard not to worry. I’d really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences 🤍
