[Beta] Cultural navigation app for travelers' first 48 hours abroad
What I'm building:
Voyant helps travelers navigate cultural etiquette and unspoken rules during their first 24-48 hours in a new country, the most disorienting window: when you don't know how things work yet.
How it works:
Pre-trip: Cultural insights delivered in the lead-up to your departure (builds confidence and mental preparation)
On the ground: On-demand "situation cards" for real-time scenarios—public transit etiquette, restaurant norms, greeting customs, tipping, quiet hours, etc.
Think of it as the friend who picks you up at the airport and helps you read the room, not a comprehensive travel guide or translation app.
What I need from beta testers:
- Test during an actual trip in the next 4-6 weeks
- Honest feedback: Does this actually help or just add noise?
- Tell me what's missing, what's confusing, or what feels off
- 10-15 min feedback call after your trip (optional but helpful)
Current state:
- 19 destinations ready (major cities across Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa)
- iOS and Android
- Free for beta testers
- Launching publicly in March
Who this is for:
Independent travelers who care about cultural respect and want to move through new places with confidence, not anxiety.
Interested?
Comment or DM with:
- Where you're traveling
- When (rough dates)
- iOS or Android
