People want answers about thumb pulling

Discussion

For everyone who has done and is doing thumb pulling (for at least 5 months/until they've seen visible results), We want answers to these questions accompanied by evidence [preferably accurate medical evidence, and if that is not possible, then let it be visual evidence under strict conditions (same lighting, same head position, etc.) without any falsification] :

1/ What's the goal of thumb pulling (from your experience)

Expand the palate or (as claimed) move the maxilla upwards and forward Is thumb pulling a must or a catalyst?

2/ How did you thum bpull

where did you place your thumbs ?

on which part of the palate did you thumb pull ?

on which part shoud you pull and on which one should you push ? and why ?

In which direction did you push/pull for each area ?, (If there was more than one area), and why ?

how doesn't pushing upwards on the palate make it narrower ?

is there a specific routine you did before (and/or) after thumb pulling ?

how did you position yourself when thumb pulling ?

for how long did you push/pull for each area ? And how many times for each one ? And how many times did you thumb pull a day ? Why not more or less ?

My last question about thumb pulling (Regarding what I've noted from videos of the collab between Dr. Mike Mew and Oscar Patel)

We all know that a person can't mew properly if they lack tongue space, and Oscar claims thumb pulling is supposed to fix that and give you more tongue space, but at the same time he says in order for thumb pulling to work you need to mew to prevent relapse, which like I've said before, you can't mew , it doesn't make sense at all, unless he has made a mistake in defining the whole thing.

Anyway, i am as hopeful that thumb pulling actually works (since a LOT of people would benefit from it) as much as im confused and concerned about the whole phenomenon.
