Visiting Ireland
Hi there, everyone,
Canadian here! I am visiting Ireland on St. Patrick's Day. And, guess when my birthday is? You got it right, 17th March. I plan to be in Ireland on the night of the 16th, spend my day on the 17th, and leave on the 18th.
What should be on my list to do? I plan to stay in a hostel and love exploring the Temple Bar Area in Dublin. Anything specific I should be looking at or plan accordingly?
I am aware I do not need a visa to arrive. However, do I have to use any software and fill out anything? In Canada, we have an ArriveCan app. I plan to leave on the morning of the 18th and will have my bank cards with me to prove I have money, a hostel booking, and a return ticket home.
Anything else I need to be aware of? Any tips are appreciated.
Sorry, I just want to be very mindful of the present rhetoric around immigration, as someone who is not white. Should I be concerned at all about my safety? Please, don't see it as a jab at propaganda. I just want to have fun, visit, respect the rules, and leave as planned. But I also want to be concerned about my safety and well-being.
Sorry, I did not think I would be adding it, but just some YouTube videos and social media posts have steered my mind the other way, and I'm worried, rather than having fun and taking it easy.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you
