Help with Fable 2 weapon glitch

I was gifted a 'Master Sword' by some random person in Bowerstone and since I equipped it I can't switch it to anything else. The sword is stuck in my hand. I can select another weapon to use but the 'Master Sword' model is still in my hand. It's also stopping me from using melee at all during combat unless I use a ranged weapon first.

I tried selling it but this didn't work. I've reset my game and console but it's still there.

When I sold it to the blacksmith, I then had the option to buy another weapon with the title 'INV_ITEM_WEAPON_KATANA_DESC' and this has 1000 damage.

What the hell is going on? Please help me - thanks!
