Non-ABA JD grads and Federal Employment

Location: California

Title puts it pretty plainly.

Any non-aba JD grads work for the Federal Government? (In an attorney role) I'm a military reservist with a lot of AD time and I'd like to get a fed job to buy back my time towards retirement. Problem is I want my kids to have my GI Bill and my LSAT isn't pulling any massive scholarships at a location near me. Considering the online CalBar programs here but if it eliminates federal opportunities that's gonna really damper my desire for it. I'd love to be a lawyer and I'm very passionate about it, but I'm also an tradesman who makes pretty good money and I gotta do what makes sense for the family.
