Associate Dentist Pay

As an associate dentist for a multi-doc single private practice location, I feel that I deserve more pay. The overhead is roughly the same as before I entered the practice as it’s all the same building with the same fixed costs. Obviously added assistants and a front desk treatment coordinator on top of lab fees.

But I’m bringing in $1.5 million collections to the office as an associate and getting 30%. I feel when I’m collecting as much as I do, I deserve more of the pot. It’s hard knowing after all expenses are made, they are profiting more than I am making after all my hard work. Am I bad in feeling this way?

I know they are the owners but I feel an extra tier like 40% for anything about 80k collections would be nice. Is that outrageous to ask?
