Why is buying a car so hard

I am located in Victoria and atm I am trying to buy a Honda Accord Euro. Specifically the CL9 in a manual. I have already seen a couple on FB marketplace and carsales but they really imo are overpriced. These are 20 or so year old cars, with kms around 250,000kms. People are asking imo ridiculous prices. For stock cars with nothing done some are asking $8000+. Ik the k24 are really strong engines and will last for ages but to me a stock euro shouldn’t be costing more than $7000, especially the base models and only if the paint and the physical condition of the car are still good. Plus no one wants to get me a rwc. I don’t want to buy a car with no rwc because if it fails everything falls to me, and I don’t want to buy a car where I’d have alot of issues with it. Every seller says they don’t have the time but for my peace of mind I’d want a rwc.
