Is "Unshaven DHI" actually viable for traction alopecia? Or is it just marketing fluff? (Can't shave for work) -Female HT

Seeking Advice

I work in tech/marketing, so I’m on Zoom calls about 6 hours a day. Over the years, I’ve developed pretty bad traction alopecia (receding corners) from tying my hair back too tight, plus I have a naturally high forehead.

I’ve been researching DHI options because shaving my head is 100% off the table for my job. I can't show up to client meetings looking like an egg.

My concern is: I see a lot of clinics claiming they do "fully unshaven" transplants, but then I dig into the reviews and see patients saying the doctor convinced them to shave at the last minute because it's "easier." Has anyone here actually successfully done a no-shave procedure to lower their hairline? Did you get massive shock loss in the existing long hair? I’m trying to filter out the sales pitches from the reality.
