How to spark a discussion about Needful things?

We’re having a book club with my classmates and Needful things was voted as a next book to read. The books is okay to me, but i don’t feel particularly interested and that’s probably why i don’t see any opportunity for staring an engaging discussion about it. For this reason i’m wondering what draws people to this book. If you have any ideas on how you would approach this book club meeting and would like to share, feel free to do so
