Fresh hobbyist license expiring?

I signed up for a free Hobbyist license last week on my laptop and installed it, messed around a bit to get familiar, etc. It was my understanding this license lasts for 3 years and then can be expired.

Today, 5 days later, I wanted to put it on my main desktop PC, where I will primarily be using it. I logged into the website, went to my products, and downloaded and installed Fusion. When it signed me in, it said my license is expired and everything is read-only. I went back to check my account and couldn't find any evidence of the hobbyist license I used last week. So I went to the page to sign up for a hobbyist license again, and put all my details in again. It let me do it, and I clicked Download, etc, however when I signed into the application, it says I'm under a trial that ends in 25 days.

What's up with all this? Doesn't seem quite right. Is this what happens to everyone else with the Hobbyist license?
