Crossed cable jump’d

I specifically warned my wife to QC anyone trying to jump my car while I was deployed.

Battery was probably at the end of its life. OEM battery on my 2020 wrx. Needed frequent jumping ever since Ive gone overseas because of course.

Father in law stopped by trying to be helpful, hooked up the cables backwards and jumped for 15-20 seconds.

Good news is they didn’t melt the paint off my bumper.

Bad news is the fuses allegedly look fine and Im worried he bricked the ECU.

I don’t actually know if he checked the main 120 fuse. Homie is salt of the earth, knows what to look for, just made an honest mistake.

Help me with an action plan boys.

New battery in, no lights, nothing.

Im thinking;

-Check main 120 fuse

-check wiring

-check ECU itself

In that order.

Now of course I can’t do fucking shit myself because of being deployed.

Any insight or sage advice would be great.
